Back in Berlin

When I got back to Berlin things got very busy as we were just two days out from Paige’s race. Also living in a hotel room did not allow for a lot of private time to sneak in some blog writing (Angus loves the computer) so I fell behind on the blog. We’re actually stateside again now but I want to catch everyone up on the last few days of our European adventure!

My flight back to Berlin was uneventful and we landed on Friday morning on the tail end of a thunderstorm. Angus and I spent part of the morning touring around our immediate surroundings, where we found a fountain that he promptly climbed into outside the Berlin Cathedral! After his dip, we took a good nap and then had a late lunch and play session at Café Allegreto, which had a sandbox and kid’s table and toys for Angus and a light snack and some Prosecco for me! Greg joined us and we met Andrew Lemoncello’s agent Jurrie. We then headed over to the track with Emily. Unfortunately as we were driving over in the taxi the sky opened up and it poured rain for about an hour! We dashed to the adidas area outside the track, and then ventured in when the rain let up. This ended up to be the only night I went to the track and it was super exciting to be there. I wish we could have gone over the weekend but the marathon prep, exhaustion and the early start to events at the stadium on Sunday made it impossible. The energy at the track was amazing though, and I look forward to attending more exciting events like this in the future! Angus is a big fan now too, and cheered everyone on.
